Kinnaree Media Marketing Co., Ltd. was founded in 1997 and named its first publication 'Benjarong’, a magazine to serve the guests of Phuket's five star resorts with high quality travel and lifestyle news to enhance their holiday experience. Over time Benjarong grew in popularity in the hospitality industry and since 2000 it can be found in the guest rooms of leading hotels around the island as well as selected stores, shops and offices who welcome and service guests from the up market hotels.

Late in 2000 a second publication, Tropical Living in Thailand Magazine, was launched to assist holiday home buyers in obtaining quality information on buying property. The magazine also acted as an introducer to the high-end designers, architects and interior stores. Immediately after its launch, the publisher knew he made the right decision with this new magazine as demand for advertising was beyond expectation and the property market continued to grow year after year.

Following on in late 2005 Kinnaree Media Marketing moved its Bangkok operations to the central business to All Seasons Place being neighbours to General Electric, BMW Thailand and CBRE head quarters. Additionally by 2006 the total number of employees had grown from 3 permanent staff and a handful of writers to 12 permanent staff and more than 10 contributing writers and photographers based throughout the Kingdom.

After 8 successesful years in the publishing industry, the company has seen many changes in its market environment and overcoming some difficult times where the market turned away from media advertising. The bombing in Bali, SARS, bird flu and most recently the 2004 tsunami saw several publications disappear from the market due to diminishing advertising budgets. Despite these difficult times, both publications continued doing well due to the publishers commitment to deliver the highest quality in print and editorial irrespective of market conditions. This vision has been tested on many occasions and proven to be 'crisis proof'. Kinnaree Media Marketing's constantly strives to deliver high quality interesting news and information to its well educated and well-heeled readers.

By the end of 2006 the company will have completed the merge between Benjarong and Tropical Living magazines which will contribute to a higher economy of scale with richer and more varied contents under the name of Tropical Living in Thailand magazine.
