These days it’s not just how you live la vida loca, it’s how well-connected you are and who makes it happen for you.

Ever had the urge to forget the restaurant and dine mid-ocean on a candle-lit yacht? Fancy yourself as a 21st Century cosmonaut floating through space and time? Ready for some social climbing beyond the top of the ladder to holiday with Royalty or shake it up with celebrities? Then it’s about time you redefined your concept of a concierge…

These extreme pursuits of pleasure might seem far-fetched to some simpler souls, but in today’s very real dynamically paced world, it seems that a desire for the action-packed, high-flying lifestyle of the formerly fictional world is no longer one limited to the silver screen. Increasingly in today’s fast-paced, multifaceted environment, it’s not just the exceptionally elite who could use a hand in organising their precious spare time either - it’s almost every one of us.

Enter the new breed of consumer services such as the globally renowned, Quintessentially.com, billed as ‘the most exclusive members club in the world’ and aimed at tapping into the travel and lifestyle requirements of today’s more clued-up customer, individuals who are short on time but high on life’s opportunities.

It may be no coincidence that the UK - notoriously home to the best butlers in the world, is also the original home of ‘concierge service’ Quintessentially, but the company are now also providing Thailand with this uniquely clued-up consumer opportunity - Thai ‘connections’ and ‘superservice’ notwithstanding.

Opening its bespoke Thai services early 2007 and originally launching in the UK in 2000, Quintessentially now has thousands of members world-wide and through a network of 20,000 suppliers it offers endless resources for members to tap into. These include extensive discounts and exclusive information along with the more practical hands-on planning. All with a price, of course - for Thai members access to such services and information starts at a basic membership of around 200,000 Baht.

“Our mission is to bring you only the very best whether it be opera, music, art, travel, food or drink,” the company claims, and this can apparently mean everything from front-row seats at fashion shows and spur-of-the-moment yacht charters, to the most sought-after theatre/concert tickets or dinner reservations at the most popular restaurants.

In fact for the upwardly (and outwardly) mobile the proffered benefits of a Quintessentially membership seem bottomless, with the kind of contacts and insider information that won’t just get you tickets to that show (or on that guest list or into that restaurant), it’ll keep you in the loop as to exactly why you should be there too.

Members are kept up to date with what’s hot and what’s not through regular newsletters, exclusive invitations to charity events, gala balls, shopping evenings, film premieres and VIP after-parties. Their new members/invitation-only site QUBE also connects like-minded extravagant opportunists through forums, friend-to-friend links and inter-site emails.

The services don’t stop short at social events either. The travel department is also primed with expertise globe-trotting knowledge including information on the best hotels, villas and even private islands at their fingertips - often with special discounts available. In addition there’s also a bespoke wine service, luxury chauffeur service and global events production company as well as access to a ‘bespoke’ property search service and even art advisory service.

Famously, Quintessentially has already booked about 150 people for the first commercial space flight and counts among its members high-flying glitterati such as Mick Jagger, Madonna, society princess and professional party-goer Paris Hilton - even members of European Royalty. And if even they can’t get the staff these days, what further endorsement of Quintessentially’s pulling power do you need?

For those interested in joining the club, Quintessentially offers various levels of membership - the more you pay, the higher the level of service you receive.
