Australia’s most awarded luxury boat builder, Riviera, will launch the latest of its European-style Sport Yacht series at the Sydney International Boat Show.
The Riviera 4400 Sport Yacht takes luxury boating to a new level with its light weight yet robust hull construction and revolutionary Volvo Penta Inboard Performance System (IPS) propulsion that includes a joystick docking system, making this boat very simple to control and manoeuvre.
The 4400 Sport Yacht design continues the indoor-outdoor character and sense of light and space introduced on the first award-winning Riviera 3600 Sport Yacht and carried on to the 4700SY. Exterior lines have been further refined to create even more visual appeal. Bonded glass windows each side of the boat are a striking feature that, together with an opening porthole each side, add natural light and ventilation into the aft cabin of the boat.
This two cabin/two bathroom cruiser, exudes style and is packed with all the modern conveniences you would expect from a Riviera, making it the ultimate in lifestyle-orientated vessels.
Designed with the aid of the latest CAD software systems, the 4400 Sport Yacht contains a host of new innovations and technologies for both Riviera and the marine industry at large.
A large storage locker accessed from the swim platform is built into the rear of the transom for fenders and owner’s gear. An optional hydraulic swim platform lifter can be fitted for ease of launching and retrieving a tender.
A sun pad with rails and drink holders is fitted to the foredeck and includes a cover for protection when not in use.
Interior space in the 4400 Sport Yacht feels very light, airy and spacious; large windows and opening out pillarless rear door and window offer an indoor-outdoor atmosphere. A huge electric sunroof slides open at the push of a button, further adding to the spacious feel of the boat.
A liquor cabinet with drawers is conveniently located forward of the lounge, below the entertainment system that includes an electric lift 26-inch LCD TV integrated with an AM/FM stereo, CD/DVD player with amplifier, sub-woofer and four speakers to the saloon with an additional two speakers and stereo remote to the cockpit.
The galley layout is generous and functional. It features plenty of cupboards and drawers, above and below bench for storage, as well as all the latest appliances including a convection microwave oven and a stainless steel front-opening refrigerator with a freezer compartment.
A large square deck hatch with Mk 5 OceanAir blind, is fitted to the deck head, and features a two-way flyscreen and block-out blind for privacy.
Riviera’s General Manager of Sales and Marketing for Asia, Ben Doggett, believes that the 4400 sports yacht will become a standout success in Asia. “We have already had one client confirm their position on a 4400 sports yacht, even before the layouts had been presented to them. The combination of size, luxurious fitout, fuel capacity and of course the IPS drive system presents itself to be a winning combination.”
The 4400 sports yacht strengthens the whole sports yacht range, which includes the 4700 sports yacht - the most successful model ever released by Riviera, and the 3600 sports yacht - which last month won Asian Boat of the Year for under 40 feet.”
